Hello everyone~ I promised to have something done by the end of the month, and I very nearly kept my promise! It didn't seem appropriate to me to upload non-halloween art on halloween, so I waited a day (cough-it-had-nothing to-do-with-me-screwing-up-2-paintings-and-taking-forever-to-churn-out-something-decent-cough)
This particular piece was inspired by the wonderful work of Brian Froud, I just recently bought his World of Faerie and I'm sooooo in love with it, I absolutely had to paint a faerie of my own. This is for =jisuk's 2008 Calendar project, there are some other really great artists involved and all the proceeds will go to charity! Go here for more info. Another good thing came out of this painting as well, I found some tools in Painter X that I can almost control properly Painter X, Photoshop CS3, Wacom Intuos3 print available here: [link] |
