Hello folks, just a little update to assure everyone that I haven't fallen off of the face of the earth. I appreciate all the comments I’ve received and faves and such, while I haven’t been so good about replying lately I do apologize, I’m preoccupied dealing with some serious personal stuff. Not to worry though, I’m quite alright, just very sudden changes that have me rethinking a whole lot of my life.

For those patiently waiting for the tutorial, I have it about %50 complete… and it’s so flipping long already. A brilliant friend of mine suggested submitting it in parts, which honestly I can’t believe I didn’t think of before. You’ll see the first however many parts updated as soon as I find myself able to devote some time to it.

I hit 900k pretty soon which is really cool. Thanks for the support guys! Very much appreciated. I have a personal project I’ve been working on semi-secretly, a few friends have had the misfortune of hearing me prattle on about it, but yes… it’ll hopefully be something I can show in the next month or so. We’ll see… my life is pretty crazy at the moment.

For those not fluent in lolcat the title says, "I have noticed your tutorials are missing from your gallery, where have they gone?" To answer, I have deleted them. Wait! Don’t throw rotten vegetables at me just yet! I'm happy to say that I'll be uploading a new tutorial soon. The old ones were very near obsolete, and quite embarrassing (vain? who, me?), so when they were semi-broken by new DA updates I decided to just make a new one. I've got a WIP of the piece in my artblog, but I've got commissions and other stuff to work on so it may or may not be finished this month. I hope it will, but I'm not even half done the painting and I've taken so many damn screenshots already... so, we'll see. It will be for Photoshop CS3, which is pretty much Photoshop CS2 regarding the tools I'm using, just a different interface, so it'll be followalongable (synonym plz?) for previous versions.

Ok, feel free to throw the vegetables now if you still want to.

YES. YES!!! I'm finally better! After the bout of illness I explained in my last journal entry I was unfortunate enough to once again be caught under the weather. This has not been a good winter. But all is well now, I couldn't be happier. I was SO sick of being sick! Oh man.

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that I'm back, and shall get back to work on my commissions for the lovely and patient people who pay me to paint for them. Also I'll be checking my messages/notes now, I'm on the verge of 10000 new messages so.. it may take... a while... to get through them all. Especially on dial up. Oh my. I should just go into town one of these days and park myself at a starbucks for their wireless. And for those delicious apple spice drinks they have there. mmm...

I haven't posted in a little while, but I hope everyone's holidays were great, and that you're all enjoying the new year!
I unfortunately got sick over the holidays, they were enjoyable still, and I was better in time for my vacation with *minhdo in Hawaii! I got home a couple weeks ago and somehow I've managed in my short time back to catch another cold. Delightful. In light of the aforementioned circumstances I won't be replying to notes and messages for a little while, not until I get better. I notice I reached 800k while I was away, so I'd like to thank everyone who stops by my page, and everyone who comments on my work or adds it to favorites. Also a big thanks to those who buy prints, I managed to make back what I paid for the print subscription! yay!

You guys are probably so tired of the "In which I verb noun.." titles, but for some reason they're so fun for me to use. :<

So anyway, on to business. I'm offering some bust commissions! This holiday I'll be at home and will have some free time, so I thought it would be a good idea. I have some other regular commissions I'm finishing up, they will come first, but in the next week or so I expect them to be finished, therefore I'm taking these sort of in advance.

Each commission is $100 USD. I will paint you a 300DPI waist-up portrait of a character (typically 'bust' images would start at the bustline, but 'waist commissions' just sounds dumb lol), with a simple colored background. You will get the high-res image to do whatever you like with (except selling it). I take paypal payments only, I'll send my paypal address in a note or e-mail to those who get commission slots~ Payments must be given upfront.

I don't have a great many examples of bust/waist-up images in my gallery, but expect something like [link] or [link]

I'm only offering 5 slots at the moment, if all goes well I'll probably offer more in the future~! The slots are in my journal footer, if you'd like a commission spot please note or e-mail me all slots are now taken, thanks everyone!

P.S. I saw The Golden Compass, those books have been such favorites, and I really enjoyed the movie. It was less epic than I anticipated, and there was a great deal changed from the books... like, the ending. I could have sworn I saw clips from the ending in the trailers... hhmmm. Was there anything after the credits? I didn't stay to watch.
I suppose they'll make The Subtle Knife and cram TGC ending onto the first of it. Anyway, I thought it was great overall, though my ardent love for the books makes me a bit biased~ God they did Iorek and Lee SO well. They're exactly how I pictured them in the books. Lyra too, she was brilliant! The blonde Mrs. Coulter wasn't what I expected, but she was so fitting for the movie, I'm glad they didn't force black hair on Nicole Kidman~

Oh and Asriel.. was... perfect. *__*

I can't wait for TSK, I want to see what Will looks like ;; and Balthamos and Baruch <3
